- And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.

And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
- Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
- For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.

Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens. - The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;

And freedom to prisoners. - But the one who did not know it, and committed acts deserving of a beating, will receive only a few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.
- Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
- Turn from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it. - Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
- And I heard every created thing which is in heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, or on the sea, and all the things in them, saying,
“To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion forever and ever.” - Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
- Remember, Lord, Your compassion and Your faithfulness,
For they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my wrongdoings;
Remember me according to Your faithfulness,
For Your goodness’ sake, Lord. - The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord
Are riches, honor, and life. - Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- And the Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.
- Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
- But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
Slow to anger and abundant in mercy and truth.
