- The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun. - The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes. - Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
for they will surely sprout wings
and fly off to the sky like an eagle. - But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
- Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
