- The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it.

Whom shall I fear?
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid? - Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
- You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.

It gives understanding to the simple. - Commit your way to Yahweh.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
he will make your righteousness shine out like light,

to proclaim liberty to the captives
and release to those who are bound. - But he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
- Depart from evil, and do good.
Seek peace, and pursue it. - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow.
- You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
- Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you.
- The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh
is wealth, honor, and life. - “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever! Amen.
- Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.
- I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!”
- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to Yahweh. - He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.
- But you, Lord, are a merciful and gracious God,
slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth. - We have sinned, and have dealt perversely, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from your precepts and from your ordinances.
- I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out and will find pasture.
- But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
