Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Lips'
- Then keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips
and from deceitful tongues. - The lips of a fool cause strife,
and his mouth provokes a flogging. - The Lord abhors lying lips,
but he delights in those who are truthful. - Lying lips conceal hatred,
and anyone who slanders another is a fool. - When I sing to you, my lips will rejoice,
and so will my soul, which you have redeemed. - The lips of the righteous utter words of kindness,
but the mouth of the wicked knows only how to pervert. - Turn away from the mouth that deceives
and keep your distance from lips that mislead. - I have not strayed from the commandments of his lips;
I have treasured in my heart the words of his mouth. - Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent. - The words of a wise man win favor,
but a fool’s tongue is his undoing. - Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
with uplifted hands I will call on your name. - He who guards his mouth makes his life secure,
but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall. - Fine words are not becoming to a fool,
and much less are false words to a noble. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise will be continually on my lips. - For:
“If anyone wishes to love life
and to experience good days,
he must restrain his tongue from evil
and his lips from deceitful speech.
He must turn away from evil and do good,
seek peace and pursue it.” - Prepare in advance what you want to say,
and return to the Lord.
Say to him, “Take away all guilt
and give us what is good,
so that we may present as offerings
the bullocks from our stalls.” - Where many words are spoken, sin is not absent,
but whoever restrains his tongue is prudent. - If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Let no foul word ever pass your lips. Say only what is useful for edification, so that your words may benefit your listeners.
- Diligent labor always yields profit,
but idle conversation only leads to poverty. - I refrained from eating any choice food, abstaining from consuming meat or wine, and I did not anoint myself until those three weeks had passed.
- Do not let this book of the law be absent from your mouth; meditate upon it day and night, so that you might carefully observe everything that is written in it. Then you will prosper and be successful.
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Then he said to them, “Go forth into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to all creation.”Next verse!With image
