- No one has ever seen God.
It is the only Son, God,
who is at the Father’s side,
who has made him known. - Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - For God will repay everyone in accordance with what his deeds deserve.
- I am now about to go the way of all upon the earth. You know very well in your hearts and your souls that not one of the good things that the Lord, your God, promised you has failed to take place. Every promise has been fulfilled, not one of them has been broken.
- And so does kindness, O Lord.
You reward each person
in accordance with his deeds. - Let everything that breathes
offer praise to the Lord.
Alleluia. - I love the Lord because he has heard my voice
and listened to my cry for mercy,
because he has inclined his ear to me
on the day when I called out to him. - Whoever possesses the Son
possesses life;
whoever does not possess the Son of God
does not possess life. - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

to bring the good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to prisoners
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free. - Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, you should arm yourselves also with the same intention. For anyone who has suffered in the flesh has finished with sin.
- The Lord commanded us to observe all of these statutes and to fear the Lord, our God, so that we might always prosper and be kept alive, even as we are today.
- You shall take heed to observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, and the decrees and statutes that he has given to you.
- Blessed be the God,
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens. - Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever he pleases. - The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
- Whoever denies the Son
does not have the Father,
but whoever acknowledges the Son
has the Father also. - Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vanity, but humbly regard others as better than yourselves.
- As for me, I trust in your kindness;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord
because he has been good to me. - Consequently, anyone united to Christ is a new creation. The old order has passed away. Behold, all has become new.
- For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall also be united with him in his resurrection. We know that our old self was crucified with him, so that our sinful body might be destroyed and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
- Such hope will not be doomed to disappointment, because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.
- “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - Cure the sick who are there, and say, ‘The kingdom of God has come unto you.’
- No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be accomplished for him.
