Chinese (traditional)- Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
- For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building.
- So God created humankind in his image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
- And those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.
- Yet I have been the Lord your God
ever since the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases. - No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments. - But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - For God alone my soul waits in silence,
for my hope is from him. - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart.
Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed.Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor. And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”Next verse!With image
