- A man’s pride brings him low,
but one of lowly spirit gains honor. - Yahweh makes poor and makes rich.

Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. - Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
- I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.

and rejected by men,

- When pride comes, then comes shame,

- He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth.
- For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people.
He crowns the humble with salvation. - If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth.
- They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.
- The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but a fool is swallowed by his own lips.
- God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, God’s love, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
- So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger.

- He will not allow your foot to be moved.
He who keeps you will not slumber. - Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord.

- For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps.
- Yahweh is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness. - If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
- Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
- See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
- The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting, “Hosanna to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
- When you pass through the waters, I will be with you,
and through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned,
and flame will not scorch you. - For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
