Make (2/4)

  • Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.
  • And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.
  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    And do not lean on your own understanding.
    In all your ways acknowledge Him,
    And He will make your paths straight.
  • Nevertheless, in Your great compassion You did not make an end of them or abandon them,
    For You are a gracious and compassionate God.
  • Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.”
  • You will make known to me the way of life;
    In Your presence is fullness of joy;
    In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
  • Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
  • God is not a man, that He would lie,
    Nor a son of man, that He would change His mind;
    Has He said, and will He not do it?
    Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
  • The Lord bless you, and keep you;
    The Lord cause His face to shine on you,
    And be gracious to you;
    The Lord lift up His face to you,
    And give you peace.
  • Those who love Your Law have great peace,
    And nothing causes them to stumble.
  • But make sure your statement is, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil origin.
  • This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will achieve success.
  • The Lord God is my strength,
    And He has made my feet like deer’s feet,
    And has me walk on my high places.
  • But I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
  • But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, but with gentleness and respect.
  • And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord.
  • Commit your way to the Lord,
    Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
    He will bring out your righteousness as the light,
    And your judgment as the noonday.
  • Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.
  • Being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
  • “And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”
  • So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
  • A person has joy in an apt answer,
    And how delightful is a timely word!
  • And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances.
  • May He grant you your heart’s desire
    And fulfill your whole plan!
  • Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”

When a man takes a new wife, he is not to go out with the army, nor be assigned any duty; he shall be free at home for one year and shall make his wife whom he has taken happy.
