- For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.

Salvation comes from the Lord. - Many are the plans in a human mind,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will prevail. - If you refrain from traveling on the Sabbath
and from engaging in your own interests on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a day of joy
and regard the Lord’s holy day as honorable,
if you honor it by not going your own way,
serving your own interests,
or attending to your own affairs;
then you will find true happiness in the Lord,
and I will enable you to ride
upon the heights of the earth.
I will nourish you with the heritage of your father Jacob,
for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - Rather, I discipline my body and bring it under control, for fear that after preaching to others I myself may be disqualified.
- The one who calls you is faithful, and he will accomplish this.
- A gentle reply turns away wrath,

they shall become as white as wool. - Is anyone among you sick? He should send for the presbyters of the Church so that they may pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.
- For you did not receive a spirit of slavery leading to fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, “Abba! Father!”
- I, the Lord, am your God. You must obey my laws and be careful to observe my ordinances. Keep holy my Sabbaths as a sign between me and you so that you will know that I am the Lord, your God.
- Sing praise to the Lord for his mighty deeds;
let this be known throughout the entire world.
