- The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
- What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
- A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - A fool's wrath is presently known:
but a prudent man covereth shame. - I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. - Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. - For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
- And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
- The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. - O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord:
and he delighteth in his way. - A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
- A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. - Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts. - Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him,
and saved him out of all his troubles. - It is an honour for a man to cease from strife:
but every fool will be meddling. - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
- Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Next verse! With image
