Wealth is a ransom for a person's life, but the poor get no threats.The ransom of a man’s life is his riches, But the poor does not hear rebuke.
With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me?The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals.It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.
To make an apt answer is a joy to anyone, and a word in season, how good it is!A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!
Praise the Lord! Happy are those who fear the Lord, who greatly delight in his commandments.Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments.
He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.
For what human being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God's except the Spirit of God.For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
He humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
He replied, “What is impossible for mortals is possible for God.”But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath.Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
Or can one walk on hot coals without scorching the feet?Can one walk on hot coals, And his feet not be seared?
All deeds are right in the sight of the doer, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts.
It is honorable to refrain from strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.It is honorable for a man to stop striving, Since any fool can start a quarrel.
It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice.A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.
So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?”So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Each of you, however, should love his wife as himself, and a wife should respect her husband.Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and of people.Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.
The clever see danger and hide; but the simple go on, and suffer for it.A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; The simple pass on and are punished.
How happy is the one whom God reproves; therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.
In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they do their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers.Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.
So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Fools show their anger at once, but the prudent ignore an insult.A fool’s wrath is known at once, But a prudent man covers shame.
Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.

Some friends play at friendship but a true friend sticks closer than one's nearest kin.A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
