- Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

make your face shine on us,
that we may be saved. - Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
- I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.

- One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord

to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
- But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
- May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
- This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.’ - No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
- And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
- I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
- May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord;
may your love and faithfulness always protect me. - Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
- For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
“I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” - But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
- May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

- May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.

and receive us graciously,
that we may offer the fruit of our lips.”When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
