Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Mortals'
- The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me? - It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - What is man, that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man, that thou visitest him? - In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
- So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
- But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
- I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
- Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
- Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
- In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
- But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
- And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
- But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. When thou passest through the waters,
I will be with thee;
and through the rivers,
they shall not overflow thee:
when thou walkest through the fire,
thou shalt not be burned;
neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.Next verse!With image
