| And just as no human being comprehends any person’s innermost being except the person’s own spirit within him, so also no one comprehends what pertains to God except the Spirit of God. | For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. |
| This is the message that we have heard from him and that we declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him. | This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. |

| How great you are, Lord God! There is no one like you, and there is no God except you alone, as everything that we have heard confirms. | Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. |
| Indeed, under the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. | And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. |
| No, throughout all these things we are conquerors because of him who loved us. | Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. |
| For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin. | Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. |
| Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law. | Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. |
| The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these. | And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. |
| Come to your senses and sin no more. For some of you have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame. | Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. |
| I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will ever snatch them from my hand. My Father who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of the Father’s hand. | In love there is no fear; indeed, perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not yet achieved perfection in love. | There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. |
| No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light. | No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. |
| Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires. | But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. |
| For sin is no longer to have any power over you, since you are not under the Law but under grace. | For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. |
| Even though I wander through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are at my side, with your rod and your staff that comfort me. | Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. |
| The powerful suffer want and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord want for no good thing. | The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. |
| In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. | But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. |
| Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law. | Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. |
| So today acknowledge it and take it to heart that the Lord is God in the heavens above and on the earth below. There is no other. | Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. |
| Let everyone submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which derives from God, and whatever authorities exist have been instituted by God. | Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. |
| No one can serve two masters. For you will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. | Let no foul word ever pass your lips. Say only what is useful for edification, so that your words may benefit your listeners. | Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. |
| Remember your Creator in the days of your youth before the bad times come and the years draw near when you will say, “I take no pleasure in them”. | Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them. |
| Let no one regard you with contempt because of your youth, but serve as an example to the believers in your speech and conduct, in your love, your faith, and your purity. | Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. |
| But from the very beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh.’ And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate. | But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. |
