- My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise. - Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. - I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
- He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
- For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
- We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
- Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
- Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
- Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
- Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
- Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act. - Can a man walk on hot coals
without his feet being scorched? - Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil. - Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.
- Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
- Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
- But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
- The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. - So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
- For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
Bible verse of the day
If either of them falls down,one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
