- No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who maintains covenant loyalty with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- Yet I have been the Lord your God
ever since the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases. - O Lord, all my longing is known to you;
my sighing is not hidden from you. - No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
- For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. - For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building.
- The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Do not forsake the work of your hands. - So then, a sabbath rest still remains for the people of God; for those who enter God's rest also cease from their labors as God did from his.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and your renown
are the soul's desire. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - But as for you, man of God, shun all this; pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.
- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
- And those who know your name put their trust in you,
for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. - May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy. Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”Next verse!With image
