Power of prayer (3/4)

  • And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too.
  • This is the Lord’s message to Zerubbabel: Not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
  • I ask that from the riches of his glory he may grant through his Spirit that you be strengthened with power in your inner being and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
  • Yours, O Lord, are greatness,
    power, glory, strength, and majesty,
    for everything in heaven and on earth is yours.
    Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom;
    you are exalted as head over all.
  • “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not allow myself to be dominated by anything.
  • To you, O God of my fathers,
    I offer thanks and praise
    because you have given me wisdom and power.
    Now you have made known to me
    what we asked of you;
    you have revealed to us the king’s dream.
  • To him who in all things is able
    through the power
    that is at work within us
    to accomplish abundantly far more
    than all we can ask or imagine,
    to him be glory in the Church
    and in Christ Jesus
    through all generations,
    forever and ever. Amen.
  • For I know that through your prayers and with the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will result in deliverance for me.
  • For sin is no longer to have any power over you, since you are not under the Law but under grace.
  • He is the reflection of God’s glory
    and the perfect expression of his very being,
    sustaining all things by his powerful word.
    Achieving purification from sins,
    he took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • After John had baptized all the people, and while Jesus was engaged in prayer after also having been baptized, heaven opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”
  • I stretch out my hands to you;
    my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
  • Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them.
  • Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
  • I am not asking you
    to take them out of the world,
    but I do ask you
    to protect them from the evil one.
  • Moreover, the one to whom God grants wealth and possessions and the ability to enjoy them and to find contentment in his toil receives a gift from God.
  • Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord;
    O Lord, hear my voice.
    Let your ears be attentive
    to my cries of supplication.
  • And do not lead us into temptation,
    but deliver us from the evil one.
  • Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
    for he protects the souls of his faithful ones
    and rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
  • What right do you have to pass judgment on someone else’s servant? The master will determine whether that servant will stand or fall. But the servant will be upheld, for the Lord has the power to enable him to stand.
  • But I will sing of your strength;
    when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness.
    For you have been my fortress,
    my refuge in times of trouble.
  • O Lord, at daybreak you hear my voice;
    at daybreak I bring my petition before you
    and await your reply.
  • Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.
  • However, now that you have been freed from sin and bound to the service of God, the benefit you receive is sanctification, and the end is eternal life.
  • I love the Lord because he has heard my voice
    and listened to my cry for mercy,
    because he has inclined his ear to me
    on the day when I called out to him.

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To the one seated on the throne
and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever.”

The Lord does not delay in keeping his promise, as some think in terms of delay, but he is patient with you. It is not his wish that any should perish but rather that all should be brought to repentance.Next verse!With image
