Chinese (traditional)- Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. - And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
- I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. - He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination. - And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
- And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
- Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved:
for thou art my praise. - But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
- I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. - I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
- Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments. - Hear my prayer, O Lord,
give ear to my supplications:
in thy faithfulness answer me,
and in thy righteousness. - My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. - And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
- For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
- For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
- And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
- These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
- And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people,
make mention that his name is exalted. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:
his praise endureth for ever. - Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time,
and in the night his song shall be with me,
and my prayer unto the God of my life. - Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
- Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name.
O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth.But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
