Chinese (traditional)- Blessed be the Lord,
who daily bears us up;
God is our salvation. Selah - Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
- But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
- Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.
- And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
- The Lord makes poor and makes rich;
he brings low and he exalts. - “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
- The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. - But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
- Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
He was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory. - But they who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint. - Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God.
- For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
my glory, and the lifter of my head. - And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
- Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the leader of my people, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.
- Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
- Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation.
- Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - For it is you who light my lamp;
the Lord my God lightens my darkness. - Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad. - So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.
- Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed,
and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.Next verse!With image
