Says (2/4)

  • For thus saith the high and lofty One
    that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
    I dwell in the high and holy place,
    with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
    to revive the spirit of the humble,
    and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
  • If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
  • For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
  • Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
  • Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
  • How beautiful upon the mountains
    are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
    that publisheth peace;
    that bringeth good tidings of good,
    that publisheth salvation;
    that saith unto Zion,
    Thy God reigneth!
  • And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
  • For I the Lord thy God
    will hold thy right hand,
    saying unto thee, Fear not;
    I will help thee.
  • No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;
    and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.
    This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
    and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
  • Be still, and know that I am God:
    I will be exalted among the heathen,
    I will be exalted in the earth.
  • I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
    I will guide thee with mine eye.
  • But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
  • This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
  • For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
  • God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
  • Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
  • I am sought of them that asked not for me;
    I am found of them that sought me not:
    I said, Behold me, behold me,
    unto a nation that was not called by my name.
  • If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
  • Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
  • Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
    and the years of thy life shall be many.
  • Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
  • My son, attend to my words;
    incline thine ear unto my sayings.
    Let them not depart from thine eyes;
    keep them in the midst of thine heart.
  • Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
  • Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

It is a faithful saying:
For if we be dead with him,
we shall also live with him.

Random Bible Verse

Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
