| But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. | But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you. |
| Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. | You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you. |
| Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. | Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. |
| Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. | Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine. |
| And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. | And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.” |

| But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me. | But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. | It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him. | The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him. |
| Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. | You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. |
