Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Shew'
- Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths. - To the faithful you show yourself faithful,
to the blameless you show yourself blameless. - I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
- You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand. - Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
- The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge. - But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.
- But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
- Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice. - The wicked borrow and do not repay,
but the righteous give generously. - This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’
- Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend
forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
- You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.
- He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God. - God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
- A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies. - Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.
- Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
- While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
- Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me. - She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
- Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters.Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory.
