| For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. | And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. | And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. |
| So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off. | Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away. |
| And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. | And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. |
| Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. | But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. |
