The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

For we all stumble in many ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute.Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.
To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
