Chinese (traditional)- Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
- All my longings lie open before you, Lord;
my sighing is not hidden from you. - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
- Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
- So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.
- Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?
- I, even I, am he who comforts you.
Who are you that you fear mere mortals,
human beings who are but grass. - You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
- You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. - Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.
- These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- I spread out my hands to you;
I thirst for you like a parched land. - ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
- I instruct you in the way of wisdom
and lead you along straight paths. - So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
- My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
- You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
- Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.
- You are altogether beautiful, my darling;
there is no flaw in you.
A person’s riches may ransom their life,
but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes. You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.Next verse!With image
