- And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
- We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
- I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might,
and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee:
for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. - I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. - I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people:
and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. - For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well. - But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people,
make mention that his name is exalted. - Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
- I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
- But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
- And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
- The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
- If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
- But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
- If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
- Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
- Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
- Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
- I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
- A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
- Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
- But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.Next verse!With image
