Whoever trusts in Yahweh is blessed. - He humbled you, allowed you to be hungry, and fed you with manna, which you didn’t know, neither did your fathers know, that he might teach you that man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of Yahweh’s mouth.
- Put away from yourself a perverse mouth.
Put corrupt lips far from you. - What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
- In God, I praise his word.
In God, I put my trust.
I will not be afraid.
What can flesh do to me? - I wait for Yahweh.
My soul waits.
I hope in his word. - He who guards his mouth guards his soul.
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - Make your face to shine on your servant.
Save me in your loving kindness. - With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor,
but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge. - How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to your word. - Preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching.
- For Yahweh’s word is right.
All his work is done in faithfulness. - Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
