nor do his deeds of mercy ever come to an end.
They are renewed every morning;
his faithfulness never ceases. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but cherish my commandments in your heart,
for they will bring you length of days,
more years of life, and an abundance of prosperity. - The whispers of a gossiper are tasty morsels
that corrode one’s inner being. - Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up what was left over—twelve baskets of fragments.
- No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you will all perish as they did.
- No prophecy ever came from human initiative. Rather, when people spoke as messengers of God, they did so under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
- Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first also went inside, and he saw and believed. They still did not understand the Scripture indicating that he must rise from the dead.
- Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise;
if he closes his lips, he is regarded as intelligent. - And eternal life is this:
to know you,
the only true God,
and the one you have sent,
Jesus Christ. - Behold, we are now going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and on the third day he will be raised to life.
- While he was departing as they gazed upward toward the sky, suddenly two men dressed in white robes stood beside them, and they said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking up into the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”
- The birth of Jesus Christ occurred in this way. When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came to live together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.
- Those who love your law have great peace;
they encounter no stumbling blocks. - All this took place in order to fulfill what the Lord had announced through the prophet:

through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me. - However, whoever lives by the truth
comes to the light
so that it may be clearly seen
that his deeds have been done in God. - So if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out there. If they say, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. the Maker of heaven and earth.Next verse!With image
