Bible Verses about 'They'
- As they had their pasture, they became satisfied,
And as they became satisfied, their heart became proud;
Therefore they forgot Me. - But Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots, dividing His garments among themselves.
- Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves waist coverings.
- And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.
- Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary. - Then, when they had fasted, prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
- For the customs of the peoples are futile;
For it is wood cut from the forest,
The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool.
They decorate the idol with silver and gold;
They fasten it with nails and hammers
So that it will not totter.
They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
And they cannot speak;
They must be carried,
Because they cannot walk!
Do not fear them,
For they can do no harm,
Nor can they do any good. - “Come now, and let us debate your case,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They shall become as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be like wool.” - Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
- Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
- But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought that it was a ghost, and they cried out; for they all saw Him and were terrified. But immediately He spoke with them and said to them, “Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid.”
- Now whenever you fast, do not make a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they distort their faces so that they will be noticed by people when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
- When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying.
- And they stripped Him and put a red cloak on Him. And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and put a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
- And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
- Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
- Look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more important than they?
- Consider the ravens, that they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!
- Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.
- I have inherited Your testimonies forever,
For they are the joy of my heart. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
- They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
- Without consultation, plans are frustrated,
But with many counselors they succeed. - When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a noise like a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
- And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.
- The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.
- And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
- So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
- And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and preaching the good news of Jesus as the Christ.
- Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
- The words of a gossiper are like dainty morsels,
And they go down into the innermost parts of the body. - When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So He did not do it.
- If only they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it would go well with them and with their sons forever!
- And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
- They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
- But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment.
- And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
- So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord.
- Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.
- Now while they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
- Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
- Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
- Urge slaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing, not argumentative, not stealing, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.
- While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set Barnabas and Saul apart for Me for the work to which I have called them.”
- The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end,
For His compassions do not fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness. - But he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; see, here is the place where they laid Him.”
- Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
- My son, do not forget my teaching,
But have your heart comply with my commandments;
For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you. - “And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”
- That they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.
