They (2/4)

  • The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.
  • And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.
  • When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So He did not do it.
  • So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, so that they will be praised by people. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
  • And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and preaching the good news of Jesus as the Christ.
  • If only they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it would go well with them and with their sons forever!
  • The words of a gossiper are like dainty morsels,
    And they go down into the innermost parts of the body.
  • And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
  • They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
  • Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
  • So I will prove Myself great, show Myself holy, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the Lord.
  • But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment.
  • And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, “THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
  • Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
  • Now while they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
  • Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
  • Urge slaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing, not argumentative, not stealing, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.
  • Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.
  • That they were saying to you, “In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.
  • “And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies, “on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”
  • But he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; see, here is the place where they laid Him.”
  • While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set Barnabas and Saul apart for Me for the work to which I have called them.”
  • And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them.
  • Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
  • The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end,
    For His compassions do not fail.
    They are new every morning;
    Great is Your faithfulness.

My son, do not forget my teaching,
But have your heart comply with my commandments;
For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you.
