- Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.
- The Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous. - And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.
- Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - As for God, his way is perfect:
The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act. - We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
- Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
- Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord. - Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice. - But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to blot out their name from the earth. - Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
- Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. - On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.”
- Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.
- God sets the lonely in families,
he leads out the prisoners with singing;
but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,
for the rights of all who are destitute. - God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
- Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
- My times are in your hands;
deliver me from the hands of my enemies,
from those who pursue me. - And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it. - Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
- Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”Next verse!With image
