Chinese (traditional)- For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world
but in order that the world might be saved through him. - For since death came into the world through a man, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a man.
- To him all the Prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.
- Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” - As long as I remained silent,
my body wasted away
as the result of my groaning throughout the day. - God’s love was revealed to us in this way:
God sent his only-begotten Son into the world
so that we might have life through him. - If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you.
- But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe.
- This water prefigured Baptism, which now saves you. It does so not by the washing away of dirt from the body but by the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- To him who in all things is able
through the power
that is at work within us
to accomplish abundantly far more
than all we can ask or imagine,
to him be glory in the Church
and in Christ Jesus
through all generations,
forever and ever. Amen. - Enriched in every way, you will be able to practice all your acts of generosity, which, through our intervention, will result in thanksgiving to God.
- Even though I wander
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me. - Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
- May the God of peace—who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant— make you perfect in every respect so that you may do his will. And may he enable us to achieve what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- I press on toward the finishing line to win the heavenly prize to which God has called me in Christ Jesus.
- But now the righteousness of God that is attested by the Law and the Prophets has been manifested apart from law: the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. No distinction has been made.
- We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.
- But God is rich in his mercy, and because he had such great love for us, he brought us to life with Christ when we were already dead through sin—it is by grace that you have been saved.
- For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
- And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
- Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.
- For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. This has not come from you but from the gift of God. It does not come from works, so that no one can boast.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. However, the wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, and considerate, full of mercy and good fruits, without any trace of partiality or hypocrisy.
