- For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
- For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
- Incline my heart unto thy testimonies,
and not to covetousness. - I made haste, and delayed not
to keep thy commandments. - If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
- And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
- For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
- And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
- I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
- For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
- Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
- Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men. - For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- As in water face answereth to face,
so the heart of man to man. - Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
- In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
- And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
- If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
- The way of the Lord is strength to the upright:
but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity. - Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
- Let us search and try our ways,
and turn again to the Lord. - The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins,
even to give every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings. - So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.Next verse! With image
