Bible Verses about 'Tongue of a disciple'
- A gentle tongue is a tree of life,

- And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
- When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. - And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
- Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life;
he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

- And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

to revive the spirit of the lowly,
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” - If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.
- And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
- For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
- Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
- You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
- The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble. - For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
- A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother.
