Gentle words are a tree of life; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.
Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts. Those who refuse to gossip or harm their neighbors or speak evil of their friends.He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words.The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied.When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
