Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Under'
- For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
- What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
- There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens. - Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
- The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
- Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
- He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. - No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
- But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
- All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
- Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
- Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
- This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.
- For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.
- Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
- Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
- If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.
- Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- You make your saving help my shield,
and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way. - “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.
- You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. - No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
- You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
- In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
- Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
Fools give full vent to their rage,
but the wise bring calm in the end.The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are attentive to their cry.
