Bible Verses about 'Under'

  • For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
  • What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!
  • For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
  • Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time.
  • No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
  • The God of peace will shortly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
  • There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.
  • He will cover you with his pinions,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
  • But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
  • Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
  • Therefore God also highly exalted him
    and gave him the name
    that is above every name,
    so that at the name of Jesus
    every knee should bend,
    in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
  • Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
  • This is what I have seen to be good: it is fitting to eat and drink and find enjoyment in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of the life God gives us; for this is our lot.

    be blessing and honor and glory and might
    forever and ever!”
  • No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
  • You have given me the shield of your salvation,
    and your right hand has supported me;
    your help has made me great.
    You gave me a wide place for my steps under me,
    and my feet did not slip.
  • He will again have compassion upon us;
    he will tread our iniquities under foot.
    You will cast all our sins
    into the depths of the sea.
  • You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.
  • Above all, my beloved, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “Yes” be yes and your “No” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
  • But I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified.
  • “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
  • Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
  • The hand of the diligent will rule,
    while the lazy will be put to forced labor.

You who live in the shelter of the Most High,
who abide in the shadow of the Almighty,
will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress;
my God, in whom I trust.”
