- Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee. - Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
- And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. - So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
- According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
- Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
- Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
- Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
- And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
- For the Lord is our judge,
the Lord is our lawgiver,
the Lord is our king;
he will save us. - Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
- And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
- As far as the east is from the west,
so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. - But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved).
- But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
- And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. - My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us.
- For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.Who is this King of glory?
