| Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. | So the assemblies throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were built up. | And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. | And hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. |

Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error. Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting. |
| And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. | And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. |
| And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. | According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission. |
