| But we have sinned and done wrong. We have rebelled against you and scorned your commands and regulations. | We have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments. |
| Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. | Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. | For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. | For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. |
| Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom. | So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom. |
| For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. | The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. |
| So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer. | So we fasted and entreated our God for this, and He answered our prayer. |
| Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. | For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. |
| For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building. | For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. |

| And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. | Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. |

| Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. | So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. | Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. |
| But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. | For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| Please, Lord, please save us. Please, Lord, please give us success. Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord. | Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. |
