- So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?” - So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.
- But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- In the path of your judgments,
O Lord, we wait for you;
your name and your renown
are the soul's desire. - No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.

- So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.
- In fulfillment of his own purpose he gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
- We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
- And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
- Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?
- God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
- Surely he has borne our infirmities
and carried our diseases;
yet we accounted him stricken,
struck down by God, and afflicted. - In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
- So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. - The Almighty —we cannot find him;
he is great in power and justice,
and abundant righteousness he will not violate.
