Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.
He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it.
In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the Lord.
Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness.
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
