| Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. | Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. |
| Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be joyful. | He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. |
| Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. | Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. |
| But the one who endures to the end will be saved. | But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
| Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. | He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. |
| And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. | And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. |
| God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. | Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. |
| Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. | Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. |
| What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? | What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? |
| John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.” | He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. |
| For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. | I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. |
| That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. | So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. |
| The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. | For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. |
| But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! | But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. |
| But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. | Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. |
| People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life, but those who ignore correction will go astray. | He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth. |
| Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. | Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. |
| Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. | Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. |
| Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell. | And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. |
| Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. | Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. |
| Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them. | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |
| To acquire wisdom is to love yourself; people who cherish understanding will prosper. | He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good. |
| But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. | The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. |
| Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back. | Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. |
| Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. | He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. |
