| I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. | I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. |
| But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him. | From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul. |

| For the word of God will never fail. | For nothing will be impossible with God. |
| What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’ | Woe to you who strive with your Maker, earthen vessels with the potter! Does the clay say to the one who fashions it, “What are you making”? or “Your work has no handles”? |
| With their words, the godless destroy their friends, but knowledge will rescue the righteous. | With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. |

| So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. | Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. | I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. | May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. |

| So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. | If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true. |
