Chinese (traditional)- For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
- Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. - The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple. - For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
- The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not;
neither decline from the words of my mouth. - In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin:
but he that refraineth his lips is wise. - And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope.
- The words of a talebearer are as wounds,
and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
- The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious;
but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. - Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you. - For the word of the Lord is right;
and all his works are done in truth. - For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
- For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. - Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
- Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. - Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.
- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
- But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
- Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God.
- My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
and holy in all his works.With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
