- For this reason You are great, Lord God; for there is no one like You, and there is no God except You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

- As in water a face reflects the face,
So the heart of a person reflects the person. - A generous person will be prosperous,

My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water. - And faithfulness is Yours, Lord,
For You reward a person according to his work. - And when they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you at that time; for you are not the ones speaking, but it is the Holy Spirit.
- Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. And do not fear their intimidation, and do not be in dread.
- I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
- Do not envy a violent person,
And do not choose any of his ways.
For the devious are an abomination to the Lord;
But He is intimate with the upright. - A perverse person spreads strife,
And a slanderer separates close friends. - Blessed is a person who finds wisdom,
And one who obtains understanding. - There is a way which seems right to a person,
But its end is the way of death. - Since you are precious in My sight,
Since you are honored and I love you,
I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life. - A person has joy in an apt answer,
And how delightful is a timely word! - One person values one day over another, another values every day the same. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise. - So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
- You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by the Law; you have fallen from grace.
