- You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
- Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
- Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
- I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
- You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar. - And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
- So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?
- You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
- The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
- For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.

where there is no water. - My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
- To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
- Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

my sighing is not hidden from you. - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
- Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.
- Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?

Who are you that you fear mere mortals,
human beings who are but grass.For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
