- Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase.
- Brethren, you were called to freedom. However, make sure that you do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Instead, serve one another in love.
- Surely God is my helper;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - As long as the goodwill is present, the gift will be acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
- In the same way, I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.

- But whoever endures to the end will be saved.

a servant is not greater than his master,
nor is a messenger greater
than the one who sent him. - Therefore, let us cease passing judgment on one another, but rather judge never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
- No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a pot or places it under a bed. Rather he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.
- No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy. - Every word you utter is true,
and all your righteous judgments are everlasting. - When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your wicked ways.
- Dear children,
you are from God
and you have conquered them,
for the one who is in you is greater
than the one who is in the world. - However, if we live in the light
as he himself is in the light,
then we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus his Son
purifies us from all sin. - If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is preferable for you to lose one part of your body than to have your whole body thrown into Gehenna.
