Come and see (2/4)

  • Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
  • Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
  • I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.
  • “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
  • The prudent see danger and take refuge,
but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
  • Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
  • Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
  • “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
  • Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
  • I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
  • “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
    even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
    So shall it be! Amen.
  • Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
  • Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
  • I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
  • “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
  • He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
    Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
  • On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.”
  • But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
  • Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?
  • I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.
  • Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
  • Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.
  • Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
  • Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
  • The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.
