- Let it be known to you therefore, my brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you; by this Jesus everyone who believes is set free from all those sins from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
- The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against him!” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
- Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.
- Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing,
“To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!” - Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.
- But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be done in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- Therefore you are great, O Lord God; for there is no one like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
- But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that your fasting may be seen not by others but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- Put to death, therefore, whatever in you is earthly: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry).
- All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. - Therefore rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness, and welcome with meekness the implanted word that has the power to save your souls.
- Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- Honor the Lord with your substance
and with the first fruits of all your produce. - But those who look into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and persevere, being not hearers who forget but doers who act—they will be blessed in their doing.
- Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven,
for all his works are truth,
and his ways are justice;
and he is able to bring low
those who walk in pride. - For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter, not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished.
- Those who guard their mouths preserve their lives;
those who open wide their lips come to ruin. - But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
- But Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.
- Nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known.
- For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
